Cozumel Beach Clubs

Cozumel, Mexico is one of the most popular, or at least most frequented, port stops on Caribbean cruises. One of the big draws are the beach clubs. What all is out there and which one is right for you? Let’s talk about it.

There are a lot of beach clubs out there for you to choose from if that is what you are wanting to spend some time at the beach during your day at Cozumel, but they are not all the same, so let’s look as some of the better known ones and see which one is best for your beach day.

Mr. Sancho’s Beach Club

Probably the most well-known beach club is Mr. Sancho’s. Located on the south side of the island, they boast of over 1,500 feet of white sandy beach, water activities, two pools, each with a  swim up bar, and more. Mr. Sancho’s is great for those looking for more of a party atmosphere than a relaxing beach day as they have music piped throughout the club, and you aren’t going to be offered uninterrupted views of the ocean due to the giant floatation devices that act as something like a water park. There are several packages to choose from including their popular All Inclusive Day Pass is $40 for children 4-11, $45 for teens 12-17, and $68 for adults. Included is your food and drinks (and yes, that includes alcoholic drinks for those 21 and over), access to the pools, beach loungers, the use of an ocean kayak, and lockers. It is recommended to reserve your spot ahead of time, which you can do on their website.

Paradise Beach Club

I have heard good things about Paradise Beach club. While they do offer package deals, you can also head on over and choose food and drink from an a la carte menu. Paradise Beach club has an $18 fun pass that includes access to their floating water park, paddle boards and more. Their all inclusive package starts at $60 for adults, but their website says they have seasonal pricing. Massages, waverunners, parasailing, banana boat rides, and henna tattoos are also available for an additional fee.

Paradise Beach club has a little bit of everything and the ability to choose how much you want to do during your stay. Much like Mr. Sanchos, you should not go expecting an unencumbered view of the ocean due to the floating water park.

Playa Mia Grand Beach Park

If you are looking for action in your Beach club then Playa Mia Grand Beach Park may be the place for you. This is more than just your standard beach club with food, drinks and a place to lay out on the beach. They offer a pool bar, a large floating water park, two 200 foot water slides, a kid’s pool and water park, kayaks, water tricycles and more.

$40 gets you all-day access to the park. Their all-inclusive Amazing Beach Break package is $48 for children and $95 for adults.

Del Mar Latino Beach Club

If you are looking for an adults only beach club, you may want to try out Del Mar Latino Beach Club.  Just a short walk from the cruise ports, it may not boast a long beach front, or any true beach, but it does offer an infinity pool as well as a natural ocean pool and loungers with a view of the ocean. You may even be able to see your ship! Their all-inclusive package includes snacks and an open bar for just $39, but you will want to bring your own towels and snorkel gear. Limited to only 30 adults per day, Del Mar offers an intimate experience for budget travelers.

Sky Reef Beach Club

If you are into snorkeling, SkyReef Beach Club may be the spot for you as it has its own access to part of Cozumel’s reef. While the reviews rave about the food, it isn’t going to be the beach club for you if you are hoping to relax on white sandy beaches as it is less of a beach and more of a rocky shore. Sky Reef offers tequila tasting, massages, and even has a chapel on site.

They offer several different packages to choose from that include the use of snorkel gear and a tequila tasting, but none are all-inclusive. The open bar package offers drinks for 4 hours and the sky reef package offers food and drinks for four hours.

Nachi Cocom Beach Club

When we stop at Cozumel, we often reserve spots at Nachi Cocom Beach Cub. Located on the south side of the island near Mr. Sancho’s, this club provides a quiet beach day. Their All-Inclusive package includes a 4-course meal and all the drinks you want along with beach loungers with plenty of shade. They are perfect if you are like me and don’t like baking in the sun. Costs are $10 for children 4-11, $45 for children 12-15, and $59 for those 16 and over. Nachi Cocom has a pool with a swim up bar and a covered dining area that is open to the beach with gorgeous views. They also offer extra cost activities such as snorkeling, massages on the beach (which we have enjoyed before), and banana boat rides. They limit the number of people at their club to 130, so be sure to reserve your spot. We find it is usually a good beach club if you want a nice, relaxing day on the beach as they pride themselves on being the opposite of clubs like Mr. Sanchos.

We have reserved our slots at Nachi for our next cruise coming up in September. I have seen some reviews stating that the service isn’t quite as good since the restart after the cruising shut down, so I will be interested to see if that is true and it is time to try out another beach club.

Do any of these beach clubs seem right for your next visit to Cozumel? Have you been to any of these or do you have a favorite that I didn’t mention? Comment below.
